About Me

Hello Everyone,
Christina here to share my experience on how I decided to become a doula and my journey through the process of making that goal a reality. I use this blog as a place to put down my thoughts, concerns and questions as I navigate through being a mother, wife, full-time student, part-time server and on top of all of that deciding to become a doula. I hope I can be a resource to anyone in a similar situation and also hope to get feedback from veterans of this amazing career I have decided to pursue.

I have an amazing supportive family that I would not be able to live without. My partner, Sarah is my best friend and has encouraged me to follow my heart and dream of pursuing this career. We met in 2006 while both of us were still in high school. She was playing basketball and I was a cheerleader (very cliche, I know) and we have not left each others side since. Our daughter, B came roaring into our lives July 20, 2013 and has been the biggest joy. We love being mamas and are so blessed for our little family.

I have been in college for 6 years now. I have changed my major twice and now with a year left until I graduate I have finally decided what I want to do with the rest of my life professionally! YAY. I have also been working in the restaurant business as a server/bartender for about 7 years now. If everything goes as planned I will be graduating from UNG December of 2015 and at that point will start focusing all my attention on my certification.
